Subjects Taught
French 1, French 2, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4

I attended Carleton College for a BA in Sociology and Anthropology. I then attended the University of MN in Minneapolis to complete a BS in K-6 education. Finally, I attended the Universities of MN at Duluth and WI at Superior to complete my French and Spanish teaching licenses.

I've taught all over the Chequamegon Bay Area and in Minnesota. I've been teaching for 27 years and began teaching at the Elementary Level in K, 1,2 classrooms. I then taught Title 1 Reading and Math for many years in the Washburn Schools before deciding to go back to school and earn licensure to teach World Languages. I have taught French in Washburn and Spanish in Ashland and Washburn. I love to learn about languages and cultures of the world and to share the benefits of knowing another language and understanding different ways of living on this planet with  my students.

I am married and have two sons. My husband is an educator with University of Wisconsin Extension Youth Development. My sons attend college. One is a Junior at Colby College in Maine and the other is a freshman at Carleton College in Minnesota. Our family loves to read, travel, cook, and be active outdoors. We camp, run, swim, Nordic ski, bike, hike and kayak.
